Why Us And Our History:
Both Heather and I as founders and owners of Topboss Media with our founding website Topboss Group have a long standing history with regards to casino gaming. This really started back in the early 1980’s where we would spend many evenings or weekends on the casino floor, chasing jackpots and building relationships with casino mangers and staff at the most iconic and world renown casinos. In those days it was only your walk in casinos that were available to the public, then in the mid to late 90’s, along came Internet casinos.
Internet casinos were available to everyone who had access to the Internet, it was a slow industry and not as many online casino operators as we have today. With that came our second passion which was playing online which was a new and exciting adventure for us.We signed up and became members with a handful of operators. This was good, we had the best of both worlds walk in casinos and online, what more could you want with your favorite past time, right?
Until one day when I signed up with a new casino, suspected nothing at first. Making deposits and cashing in small amounts of money, couple hundred here and there. I was receiving my winnings, meeting play through requirements no worries.
Then one evening I was playing my favorite video poker game and won 5 of a kind and a cool 15k which I wanted to cash out, you can see where this is going. Yip, I never received my winnings, with the casino claiming everything from a software glitch to being in violation of their T’s & C’s. I was getting the run around and alarm bells were ringing out, eventually all my correspondence with them was ignored.
After extensive investigations and emails, I was amazed that I had no recourse at all with no where to lodge complaints and no organization to deal with these thieves or even listen to my complaint. The more I investigated, the more I found that these small syndicates were hard at work stealing players money and winnings the more frustrated and angry we became. The lack of legal regulation, aberrational and action against such crooks is really an open invitation to cyber criminal activities.
It was due to this incident, that we decided, with our limited and humble knowledge we would try and do something to help and advise other Internet players that these preditors were out there and at the same time we would build a reputable reputation and promote awareness to the Internet casinos who were above board and honored their commitments to their players!
At the time we knew nothing and had absolutely no idea about websites, website design, graphic design, domain registration or website hosting. There was no additional spare time for us to attend courses never mind the lack of materials as well as the lack of courses available back then, it became a case of learning all that we needed to know from scratch and teaching ourselves in the evenings and weekends.
This was an overall 3 year slog of trial and error, successes and failures until we had something substantial and credible to work with. Over the many years of being in the industry, we’ve watched it go through astronomical changes some good and some not so good. We have seen many casinos open their doors only to close within months due to many legitimate and illegitimate reasons.
Whilst we have worked hard to build a reliable and honest relationship with our players, including the Internet casinos we work with, both Heather and I have been in public service our entire working lives, Heather from a Banking Bacground a a Senior Credit Manager to myself as a full time firefighter ending within the ranks as a Senior officer fire operations. So I suppose in a way we are still very much involved in public service, which we still enjoy to this day.

With almost 20 years of experience within the gambling arena and being long term members of a host of gaming associations like Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (GPWA), Affiliate Guard Dog, Association Of Players Casinos and Webmasters (APCW) and Casino Affiliate Programs (CAP). To which we are highly active as contributers towards Player protection and well being towards other like minded website owners. Our resolve from the start was to be totally honest and run our business entirely legitimately with no underhand practices, this philosophy has never changed.

In Conclusion:
In my opinion, the simple fact regarding Internet casinos is that they are here to stay. How governments choose to acknowledge or react to this fact is the real question. One thing that is crystal clear, while technology is ever improving to make our lives easier, it also has the ability to take work away from people. So while the work force shrinks and more people find themselves without a job, Governments need to embrace technologies that create jobs.
One Government Minister stated that while looking into the regulation of online gaming he mentions that he cant see how it creates jobs as its just a bunch of people sitting at a computer – how narrow mined and inconclusive your investigation was! Let me shed some light on employment opportunities and the growth of jobs within the gaming industry and I’ll just bullet list them for simplicity sakes.
